Last day of June 2014

I thought of writing something sentimental to signify the end of half a year! Butttttt damn I don't have much drama in my life to comment on such. My life in poly has pretty much settle down and currently, we will receive our result next week. NERVOUS - well actually, not reallyyyy. Guess after the 2 week break, my anxiousness has already depleted to near zero heh. The teacher is teaching programming now and I have time to rant about stuff that had happen today!

Due to the change in our timetable, we had a longgg 4 hours break! Yayyyy~ SO, we went to the nearby Bukit Timah shopping mall to kill time! We exited through the back-gate near the poolside and took a walk under the scorching sun... and there were construction workers washing the pavement - which resulted in us walking in the muddy grass for a short distance, dirtying my shoe ;-; But the pavement is cleaned now lol.

SO after we arrived, YX introduce us to a cheap western restaurant at a very unnoticeable corner of the shopping mall. The food was meh. It was salty okay, maybe the other dishes would be tastier! And it came to me that the mall was the one my family go to all the time in the past!!! Gosh my childhood ;-; I remembered my cousin and I running around in the huge area at the lobby, and the restaurant we go to all the time when we were there, is still there!! Couldn't resist myself at the thought of their signature dessert and off to their cashier! The Gula Melaka sundae is still as AWESOME as I recall! Haaaiiiii nostalgic memories *rewind back to the old days* *emotional feelings rushing through* *Nah just joking, I wasn't that emotional*

K. Back to reality, so after all the shopping(we didn't really shop actually, just strolling up and down as most of the shop are closed ._.), we went back to the school library to play board games! It was interesting as the games were raw to me, and it's like a small bonding session! Why can't the bonding games be that simple in camps, without all the running and panting ;-; Ohhhhh well, we then went back to the block for our lesson!

Guess that's all for today! Hope that every Monday can remain as simple and fun as today lol. I wonder where my other classmates went during the duration ._. Nevertheless, I hope you had a great day as well! CHEERS! ^^

M'sia Class Trip - Day 2 (13 June)

Woke up in the morning feeling like... AWESOMEE! Did it before my alarm rang and I was probably the first to wake up despite how late I slept last night, and I wasn't even tired *gasp proud of myself*. Guess maybe it was how hard and uncomfortable the bed was that made me wake up so early. But I didn't leave the bed, cause I don't wanna be the first to go to the toilet ._. Just as I was about to doze off again, YX woke me up (because I asked her to, thinking I would oversleep)(But I was already up so the correct term would be 'skake me up' LOL what? 0.0), and this meant that someone else will enter the toilet before me HO. Off I go to the toilet after YX and did my shitting before anyone else enter and smell the stench. Waited for the others to get ready and off we go to breakfast!

Breakfast and the GOOD PART
It was better than last night dinner, and the Milo was 'home-like' *homesick moment sob* The sun was directly hitting on the dining area that we took our chair to the plain field of grasses with better shade, consuming the food on our laps ;-;

The good part! We are going HILL TREKKING!! I was excited at the same time worried as I reminisced back to me sec 3 days where the hill trekking was at night, and the only things I saw were my shoe and fireflies, with sweat all over ;-; But the hill trekking now is daytime! So I was above clouds~ The instructors warned us that the gradient would be very steep, and told us NOT to be clumsy lol.

'That looks easy' - me before this hill prove me wrong

The Trekking
Yes, it was very very steep, I was underestimating it when I looked at the hill ._. There were ropes tied between trees to aid us with climbing the uneven grounds of nature.
^  We started AT THIS! ^
Look at how STEEP that is?!
Imagine what a fall that would have been!!!
(Took a bunch of photos from the photographer phew)

It was manageable for me but half way up the hill, YX cut her finger by a wood hanging harmlessly on a tree!!! The blood was dripping from her finger ;-; I added 'harmlessly' as really, you cannot underestimate the power of nature, that wood acted like nothing when I pass it, and YX said she was just brushing it away when it stung her! Add on, she plucked out the splinter that she said was inside her finger, which resulted in the oozes of blood flow ;-; Luckily the instructor was there to cleanse out the wound and bandage it!

Okay, after that we arrived at the top of the hill!! The scenery was a.m.a.z.i.n.g.

I guess those lands were the one we talked about yesterday lol. Sprinkled with fluffy clouds and dark sky, ripple on waves and the vast ocean , really a beautiful sight ;-;
Ahaha the females owning the hill *awesome like dat*
Here's to concurring the hill with a class photo. WOOoo00

K. Down the hill we go, which was harder then when we trekked up! Made it all in one piece, and while we waited for the rest of the class to arrive on flat ground, we were food for mosquitoes. Even with my long sleeve, the mosquito would still stick their 'mouth' in knowing well that I would see them so visibly on my bright clothing, smart moveeee

WELP back to the dorm for a quick wash-up and off to our lunch at the same area again, now packed with our baggage Hooo. We boarded the bus to our next venue, and I slept again for an hour or so.

Trip to Old Folks Home
After the satisfying sleep on the bus, we alighted at a deserted place filled with rows of houses.We needed to walk for quite a bit before arriving at the venue for the old folks home, as the bus cannot enter any more deeper in the narrow road. We headed for the restroom as soon as we arrived and luckily, we were one of the first to enter the wash-room with only ONE cubicle. So that means the people at the back will have to wait hehheh.

It was a HUGE place that not only include the old folks, but it also provide a place for the mentally-ill and orphans. They toured as around their campus, walking through classrooms and dorms of the people living there. Truthfully, it was a sad sight... It wasn't exactly a 'bright' place to stay and the touring has already made my heart heavy ;-; The instructors told us to talk with the old folks, and I was worried at that time, that I might be even more sorrowful hearing their tales ;-;...........

Listening to the briefing attentively at the start ~ Purple FTW!

BUT fortunately, the old folks not as 'dejecting' as I thought they would be! One of the old lady was even from Singapore, friendly and somewhat joyful, so it's pretty easy to talk to! There were definitely past stories from other elderly which wasn't as pleasant as the lady we spoke to..

WELP let's skip to the part where we sang a song for the nice old lady! ANDDD truthfully, I think the song murdered the simple ambience we had.... as the song was SAD. Why oh why did we choose that taboo Chinese song WHYY ;-; I don't know about my other classmates, but that was definitely the wrong song! What if it triggered a memory she don't want to remember? What if it reminded her of her children that abandon her? What if she was actually not sad, but it made her sad afterwards? *internal scream - NOO*

*Breathes in deep* SO k, when we were exiting the old folks home, there was this nice old man shaking hands at the rows of student strolling out, so I went to shake his hands like everyone else(!) And my friend told me that he was like a VIP shaking hands for us, poor peasants, to vote for him lol. AND apparently, two of my classmate cried when we were outside of the home... BUT let's not dwell on sad matters ;-; AND onwards to the shopping mall!!

Shopping Mall - AON
The shopping mall is relatively close, so before I manage to doze off, we arrived in the destination! And it turns out that the shopping mall was the one my family been to all the time when we go to M'sia! Such coincidence~ We went to KFC at first with the whole class, planning to eat together. Buttttt it turns out that almost half of us wanted to eat pizza hut which is right next door! I guess some of the other classmate wasn't feeling pleased as they were not co-operating.. but to come all the way to another country for the same kfc is like such a waste! So in the end, we parted ways and our lecturer handed us 10 ringgit each for our dinner. I guess I was in a neutral zone during their heated discussion(as I was not there ;-;). It was after, when we parted ways, that my friends told me about the story! I was reserving the seats to miss such an interesting discussion ;-;

Soooo we went to pizza hut, ordered only pizzas and we had to chipped in more of our own cash as it was not enough for the entire meal. Add on, it was not filling at all... But I doubt having kfc for dinner would be filling as well.. Also, I don't see the point of them separating ways if they are gonna eat food that can be seen all over sg -__- There were so many more restaurants in the HUGE shopping mall, that I don't understand why they chose this over all the one's we never see in our own country. I didn't state it out as it would be selfish of me, and they already had their mind set on that whole pizza thing. Add on, I didn't dislike it to the point I would be all upset, it was just an unexpressed thought that I'm ranting here haiiiiii.

After the meal, I guess by that time we had like only 30 mins till we have to board the bus, we shopped in the HUGE shopping mall. Obviously it was not enough T-T But we manage to spend the time speed-walking so no second was wasted, and I bought J.co Donuts! It. was. awesomeeeee~  I wanted to buy shoes at first, but I can't find any close to my desired footwear.. so I guess I bought the doughnuts to sooth myself that I at least bought something as a 'souvenir', though I ate it before I return to Singapore lol.

The rest of them bought breads in a very popular bakery. JW said that the charcoal bread there was the best and it's healthy! But it was black(greyish-black to be specific, exactly this colour highlighted!!) so it wasn't very appealing to me ._. I tried it and truthfully, it taste the same as any other loaf of bread, just a million times softer(I guess this is the reason why it's popular lol) The queue was also SUPER long and the store was practically packed, even standing temporarily to look at the many types of bread was a difficulty, being pushed around like a ball.

SOO we manage to board the bus on time and that is the end of the ENTIRE trip in M'sia before returning back to the custom ;-; JY and I chatted a lot along the way, than the other long bus ride we had, my guess was that the trip was ending and we wanted to talk more than to sleep, or we were just not tired at all lol.

End of the trip!
WELP arrived home by taking the taxi! I was a bit wary of taking the taxi alone, paranoid that the driver is going to kidnap me to somewhere unknown ;-; But all was well LOL. The trip was AWESOME and I would definitely go again with the class! The climb was the part I enjoyed the most among all the other activities! Extremely exhilarating and I get to concur the small mountain which made me feel really really contented hahah

I will end this entry here! Hope you had as much fun during the short holiday as I did. CHEERRRRSS~

M'sia Class Trip - Day 1 (12 June)

WEEEEEE I came back from the trip yesterday so I had time after a good night sleep! The bed there was creaking all throughout the night ;-;

Day 1
Dad fetch me to school and I meet YX in front of cheers with her friends! Met JY and JW at the atrium with the rest of the people and met our instructor. Took the bus from there and now, I shall skip all the way to the venue LOL (And yes I slept throughout the 2h journey). We checked into the dorm for girls with I think 2 other classes. Initially I wanted to sleep on the top bunk, but coming down was so scary that I ended up sleeping in another bed ;-; Add on, when I was closing the curtain, a cockroach ran out in the direction of the top bunk, so I was twice as determined to move out lol.

First eventtttttt. The venue exactly right beside the South China Sea! The view was magnificent and there were land seen on the horizon, and I told them that that is China HAH.HAH.

SEE THOSE FADING LANDS! Yea, China LOL.

Jokes aside, here's the beach where we did all the small activities!

We played bonding games by the beach! The first event was creating a cheer, and the theme was X-men. Andddd apparently, a guy had a cheer which is "dirty" soooo they modified it to make it more appropriate (If you now what I mean hehheh). Thus, our group's name is Master Beast~ I guess if you have dirty mind, you can somewhat guess what the main verse of the cheer was already lol.

Main event. We need to play games to earn resources for buliding the sandcastle!! YESH sandcastle. It's been so long since I've touch the sand and seawater so I was ESTATIC! The first game is to stand in a line and place tennis ball and bottles in between each person of the line. Then we have to move as a class from the start to the ending line! We tried several times, but every time we near the finish line, we dropped one thing ;-; SOO we didn't manage to complete the first game, and lost resources for the sandcastle-building, which consist of many material to make the sandcatle nicerrrr...*sad cry*

Ooooooh I see we were working HARD.
There were bottles at our hip level and tennis balls in between our shoulders! Much. Concentration.

Second game is to build a raft! We need to duplicate a replica of the raft in the picture. I wasn't of much help to the team.. I stood around as there was enough people crowding around the raft! And sadly, again, we were the last ;-; HOWEVER, the winning resource is a bucket to hold water, and the 5 group who were faster manage to choose first, and among those 6 buckets, only 1 has no cracks. Guess whooo got the one bucket despite being the last, yeah LOL it was us. The other 5 buckets were definitely bigger, but the base has a huge crack, which was of course not obvious, so the small hammer grey bucket belongs to us despite not having the chance to choose hehh

The photographer manage to capture the sun setting at that exact angle!! So . Pretty .

Last gameeee. THE SANDCASTLE! We decided on an underground castle as we only have ONE bucket for the building, so there wasn't any spade, or nice buckets of castle design to help us, thus digging was easier *sob sob* SO we used our hands and rocks!! A bit like cave men but NEVERTHELESS! We mange to complete the not-that-nice sandcastle compared with other team! I love it despite not being the best ;-;

TADAA! Behold our simple sandcastle!

We used seashells and leaves to make it more pleasant although it's not really clear in here! And that's the class~ We won the most innovative sandcastle!! Although I think they gave it to us anyhow because of how pathetic it look, and I also strongly disagree about the innovative part.... BUT we will gladly accept the title.

Omg the photo stretch so far!! But I have to post this because it's so . damn . cool .
The whole scenery of the 6 classes building sandcastle with the view behind!! One Word : Breath-taking
(Gotta scroll the screen sideways which make it hideous for this blog page ;-;)

DINNER TIME!
Before dinner, we had 1hr to bath and the girls in the dorm were ever so kan chiong('must be the first') to bath, and luckily, I was the second as they took a looong time to get their clothes, shampoo etc. And mine was already packed to go lol.... maybe I was one of the kan chiong women as well haizz, but I wasn't the screaming girl who saw a dead bug inside the washroom heh. By the time we assemble at the dining area, it's around 7.45pm. Initially they told us we had a BBQ dinner! And I was excited at the fact our class gets to bbq together!! In the end.... the trainers are the one bbq-ing while a looong queue was waiting for the bbq food to be serve. And I only manage to eat a hotdog from the pit by a friend who took it for me, so nice of him ;-; We had other staple food like Mee rebus and fried rice and we are off to the night game!

OOooooOoo something happened over there~

This was actually our lunch picture, but our dinner is pretty much the same!
Except that....The dinner photo is at night, the choices of food is different and the photographer didn't take any picture of us in it. SO I refuse to use the dinner photo without the class... or me lol

Night activity
Welppppp after the not-that-great dinner, we strutted back to the area outside the dorm for the game. It takes a few minutes to walk from the dining area to the dorm, and it was insanely dark without the torchlight! The night game was about bursting other groups balloon using candles. We got last again for the game ;-; BUT I swear that we got the same score as the second, screw you trainers for counting wrongly!! -_-

Sleepingggg timeeeeee. We knocked out at 12.30am + although I didn't sleep till much later. That sums up for 12 June!! Tomorrow's story comes tomorrow. Hope you had the adventure like I did on that day :D

End of exams!!

YAYY I've ended my 4th paper!! And tomorrow is the trip to Malaysiaaaaaa, I'm so so very excited!!
Can't wait to sleep on a double decker bad for the first time EVAAAR! Please oh cross-finger that everything go as I expected, my life always twist things, so here I beg for thee for this trip to be awesomeeeeee!!

I have to reach school by 7.30 am which it's so soooo early, that means I have to wake up at 6! I hope I could stay awake.. The trip from the custom to the venue is around 3 hours so I guess I'll spend most of my time catching up on the sleep I miss ~ Guess that's all for the trip, will of course blabber more when I come back! Now, let me rant about my bloggggg~

This dairy
I've recently change my blogkin and loveeeee it so much! Like it's specifically made for me!! (Yesh, I made it myself so of course it's specifically made for me lol) I've never explore the settings of the page as I didn't really care what my blog looks like! Buttttttt, my course happens to have a module 'programming' which curious me of what java program they use in blogs. (This sounds boring haiz) SO yesshh I came back here, look through what the 'blog' provided and found out that I can personally design the blog to my own liking! And it made me so satisfied to know I 'sort of' created the outlook of the blog myself  *shameless and proud moment, I'm sorry to brag ;-; *

Truthfully, I've never like the sizing font in me old blog design as it's so damn small, which makes it hard for reading, otherwise fine. And I've tried finding my 'perfect' blogskin several times for the past few days, which ended up a in fruitless search. I wanted the fonts of the word to be big enough, at least to my own eyes, and the pages of blogskin did not meet that simple criteria of my desired blogskin! Until I discover this function~ Add on, I can add my own pictures!!! That's the most awesome function among all the other function as I can share about my bias 24/7! :D This makes my reading ever so pleasant with the pictures of them at the side!! I can even edit the background, the width and ya' see the sakura branch on the top of the blog? It provides that feature as well!! I initially wanted it to be all vocaloids, but I've tried and failed as it doesn't meet my expectation haizzz. But NEVERTHELESS, the blog now is as awesome as a unicorn LOL.

New Bias~
At the same time, GOSH time flies by so fast!! Just 5 post back I was nagging on how the second week of poly is so stressful, and now, it's week 8!! It scares me sometimes when one become's oblivious to time, and that the moment you turn back, you feel like you missed out way too much in life! Yet again, it's always good to look ahead, like now Hueeee. I found a new biasssss!

"True. We don't have hearts.
But we remember what it is like.
That's what makes us special" - Saïx

THAT CHARISMA!! I can't describe the aura in this ONE picture!

I found the artist on instagram [ @HEARTLESSKII ] and she/he is really an amazing manga artist!! And I was never a fan of Kingdom of Hearts, but the artist portrayed Saix so well that I went to research more on his character! Disappointingly, he doesn't look as good in real form ;-; So I guess I only fell in with this drawing of him..

PS. Writing this from the future, the artist deleted a whole lot of picture on his page, including this drawing. Luckily I saved it before he did. Now it will be stored forever in my phone and this blog heh.

Today
After our exam, we (with Yixian and JiaYing) went to have our lunch at SIM university. We walk a HUGE round just to go there and realise that we took the long way after we arrive at SIM haizx T-T The curry chicken baked rice there is SCRUMPTIOUS! One of the top three in my list :D Went to clementi mall after that, walked around for a bit and I went home ahead to find the machine to make the trip payment ;-; Which I forgot in the end....

I'll end this entry here, hope you had an even better day than I did! And hopefully this blog design stays till the day I grow old! Byyyeeebb~

Cousin Birthday!

Hellooooo, today is the Saturday of week 7 and the common test is starting on the coming Monday!! Gosh I'm scared .... ANYWAY, back to the main event of today :D

Well his birthday has passed so it's a belated celebration! Again it may not count as a celebration as we only treat him lunch, and there wasn't any present exchange.... Well I guess we could still call it a celebration, after all, every birthday, in my opinion, deserves a celebration! It was a DIM SUM restaurant at a ostentatious hotel!! The chandelier of the hotel lobby is AWEsome, grand and basically, beautiful!! It's a combination of Christmas balls and some sort of tree-branches, rotating down in a spiral design!! And sad oh sad, I didn't manage to take a picture! But I guess that's okay since there are tons more chances in the future. The chandelier is always the first thing I eyed for when I'm at any hotel lobby heh.

Upon entering the restaurant, the queue greeted us. Yes, the QUEUE! It wasn't veryyyy long, but long enough to make you go 'This wait gonna be a while'. FORTUNATELY, my aunt made a reservation long before his actual date, allowing us to 'cut' the queue. And the feeling of walking pass the people queueing, HA.HA. I'm the king, peasants should stand behind me. Just joking.

The food was goooood, but I'm not really a good judge of taste as every food of the same kind taste the same to me. It's either good or bad. There is so far none that makes me crave for it neither making me hate it. Let's exclude foods that I don't know how to eat, like celery ;-; The taste is not suited for me although my dad loves it ;-;

We had usual dishes serve in a Dim Sum restaurant and the only food memorable of the meal, was the CharSaoBao and the EggTarts. Again I'm not good in taste, so it's the texture that amaze me. It is differentiated from how the other restaurant serve and among the dishes served on the table, I like the bao and the tart the BEST!

After the meal, we went to the nearby shopping mall, which connected many malls, to shop and talk. The trip ended at around 3-4 pm and we took the bus back to our community! After alighting, we did our groceries at bpp, meet dad and had dinner at Jack Place. Went Daiso to search for the floor mat, but was unsuccessful and went homeeeeee.

Guess that's all for today! Hope you had a great day as well. Cheers~ ^^

Another School Day

Today - Thursday. Next week is the examination for my 4 modules. And DAMNNN NOO! There is just so many things to memorise and know that I don't think I can even pass the one paper!!(Okay I can at least pass the module for math but still, the rest are unreachable...) AND I can tell you that you really have to know the stuff going on in the paper(which I don't for 2), if not it's useless trying to memorise from the notes. For each paper, it's an hour and half, LIKE secondary school paper! WHYWHY, and I thought poly do not have exam, this is bad...DISASTROUS BUT on the other hand, the paper consist of 30% of the module so even if I fail, there is the other 70% which is based on school work and assignment, to pull up my grades(if it's bad)! So oh so, that will be the end of my rants, complains, worries and nags.

Now the good stuff. Right after the 4 papers,which end on Thursday next week, the class is going to MALAYSIA, a 2D1N bonding trip on Friday, exactly right after the paper!! I'm so so excited and I'm looking forward to it much much more than I look forward to the end of examination. Add on, we are staying at a resort, going jungle trekking and there is night activities! As said from the itinerary, so woohooo! Can't be any more happier than to know that there is a short getaway after the paper. As much as I'm excited, I'm also worried to get my hopes too high up. Cause every time I expect an awesome day, something will always cocked up to prove me wrong. So, finger-cross, I hope the trip will go well.

Guess that's all for today. Maybe the next time, I can update on the trip for you guys! Hope you have a great dayyy.
