5th week as intern

My life has suddenly become eventful every single day since the start of internship, in a good way.

Currently, there are 3 other interns who are in the same department as me. All guys nuuu and I thought there was a girl *cough girls name on guys are misleading.. But because they, bros, have each other, I BECAME THE LIGHTBULB of their constant toilet date.

Fortunately, there are 2 other gals in the same area which so happen to be their classmate woots. CM and JM became my lunch buddies. We were initially having lunch together - the guys and gals - but because of different taste, we eventually go our own ways for lunch. By different taste I meant, don't the guys have anything else to eat besides Mac and chicken rice because that's what they are having 3 out of the 5 working days every week. I CAN'T.

At the same time, I have chingus from different banks in the same CBD area, so I travel to their territory for lunch sometimes too.

It's like an adventure everyday gosh. I LOVE INTERN. LEMME STAY FOREVER. Even though the work might be hard, the companions are great WOOTS.

Going Tampines tmr like no. Travelling from the west to east side of the country in the wee hours doesn't sound appealing at all.

On a bright note, it's only a colleague and I going, which meant FREEDOM FROM CONSTANT SUPERVISION IN THE OFFICE.

This one month has been a blast. Anticipating the fun days yet to come.

Reading back the rubbish I've wrote, I realised I've become less composed in my writing. BUT IT'S KAY I'LL ACCEPT THIS FLAW WHICH CAN BE EDITED ANYTIME.

First week Intern

FIRST WEEK OF INTERN FLEW BY.

Surprisingly, it is not as boring/scary as I worry it to be. 

Now that I'm used to the company's keyboard, typing on this puny keyboards of my laptop seems foreign. Nevertheless, IT WAS FUN. I LIKE INTERN MORE THAN I EXPECTED MYSELF TO BE.

The people are great. Since it's currently the moon-cake festival, they bought moon-cakes around for testing. First an orange-flavoured moon cake, which was meh, and then durian which was OMNOM DELICIOUS.

Lunch is with interns, and home watching tv.

So far, I LIKEY. Hopefully it'll continue like this for the next 6 months WEE.

Let's celebrate the coming of a new idol crush YAYZ.

Zhang Ruo Yun (张若昀)- A China-Chinese actor.

So how did I find him? Or how did it start?
Like fate (IT'S FATE I TELL YOU!)

The Start
During the 5 weeks of China OIP, we only had one working television that resides in a friend's room (It was the only working device from 4 girl's rooms with no TVs). With practically nothing to do - poor internet leaving smartphones and laptop unusable - we can only turn to the TV or head outside.

My classmates was watching this drama on a particular night and we just so happened to be snacking in her room (Usual routine during our trip, as her room is practically a mama shop heaven. SNACKS EVERYWHERE!). Thus, we watched and it became our regular Wednesday night show.

It was the only effort I made, running to their room by 10pm as the show was 10pm to 12am. For a show which I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what it's called - not even the Chinese title. Sacrificing my precious sleep.

We started watching as the lead, which is this guy, strongly resembles one of our guy classmate, so it was amusing watching him as it's like our classmate is acting lol.

But after a while, of course he's not our classmate so I (or we) continued watching for the drama's story. We were intrigued, partly because the plot-line is predictable so we laughed whenever what we predict came true AND, there is a lot of handsome male cast which made us excited.

But most of all, I like the lead. He has charisma and I'm all about the charm, charisma and at least a 7/10 good-looks (I found out most guys I liked are not all up there in visuals). He ain't that handsome compared with other male actors inside the show.

If only the drama has the name written all over like this picture.

The End of the Start
ALAS, all good thing must come to an end, THE TRIP ENDED.
WHEN THE DRAMA IS NOT COMPLETED.
WITH ME RETURNING NOT KNOWING THE DRAMA'S TITLE.
NOR HIS OR THE CAST'S NAME TOO.

I HAD NO INFORMATION regarding the show besides the time slot.

I was on a short-term depression as I CAN'T FIND IT EVEN ON GOOGLE, though what I typed in was ridiculous. I was pretty much hoping for a miracle.
"China drama with students 2016" - nothing
"Top China drama 2016" - wth is this it's not even completed
and a few more which I've forgotten.

So I told myself it's fine, the short term crush will be a good memory to cherish from China.

He is like a mixture of Gentle Bones + SeungRi (Big Bang) + Lobang.

The Fate
Months passed. My trip ended on April and it's September now. 6 months. Half a year ago. HALF.

On August 31st:
While waiting for a friend to finish her hair, we(mostly they) were conversing about a China drama to which I had no interest in. Add on, it's a drama that is set in Chinese historical times - long-haired humans both male and females, old time costumes with magic CG effect(THEY FLY SOME MORE) and worst of all, wearing coloured contacts, which to me at that time sounds so so cliche I can't. I was internally judging. "I guess people these days still watch this type of drama."

Like a nice person I am (I'M NICE K), when me chingu showed me the episode she was watching, I watched out of retaliation.

THEN. THE MOMENT.
HE APPEARED.
THE LEAD IN THE DRAMA.

At that point of time, I went "Is it him?" cause he was disguised with long hair and blue contacts. A few more scenes of him and IT'S HIM. HOLY.

I wasn't excited at first as my short-term idol crush usually comes and goes, to which at that point in time he was just another actor. Meh.

Then half-way through I thought, shit man I've been searching the drama because of him and now he appeared all of a sudden, IT'S LIKE FATE. Flashbacks of the drama and him came back. Alas, the short-term crush adrenaline returned and I'm all about him again. Much to my displeasure as I watched the flying drama I thought I would never start on - Novoland A Castle in the Sky. Even the name sound cliche GOOSEBUMPS.

With that, I easily found the drama I was watching in China too. It's 'Fifteen Years Waiting for Migratory Birds' to which I finished it as well (I skipped to the ending to be precise as I watched half the series in China).

Hello Snowy!

GOT A HAMSTER OUT OF THE BLUE.

It's a male in case you are wondering.

I must justify myself. This hamster is unplanned LOL.

I've never thought of taking care of pets, big or small, since my last hamster (in primary school), and I was pretty sure my mum would forbid it too. Simply because it takes time cleaning and if it dies, it would be a bother to feel sad and bury the body. 

Furthermore, it would be my mum that does the cleaning since I would be schooling and the cost of buying food/toys/toiletries for another living creature that does no benefit to the home (besides being a companion) is out-of-the-world no.

Thus, never have I pester my parents for an animal since I knew the consequences that comes with it.

SO how did this come about?

We passed a pet shop with those hamster displayed in boxes (like all pet shops) and I turned to look at those scurrying creatures.

Then my mum asked whether I want one. OUT OF THE BLUE. LIKE SUDDENLY.

So I scoffed and sarcastically replied "Sureee. You will allow meh?" because I was 100% certain she was joking (the usual), like how she mentioned whether we want to own a dog or cat lol.

THEN SHE GOES "Buy lah" and said we would after getting the groceries. 

I went "Okay lorh" thinking "Pfttt how old am I? Hai yao pian xiao hai zhi (Trick children basically)"

True enough, after getting the groceries, we went back there and she told me to choose one hamster.

I was half-laughing through the entire process of buying - choosing the cage to food to the bathing sand.

The responsibility part hit me when it's time to signed the terms and condition of the hamster.

Man, 3 pages of ticks and signature to confirm the stuff I need to know. 

SO IT'S DONE.

Forgotten Stories

Pokemon Go has just launch in Singapore WOO downloaded and caught 22 Pokemon so far in a day! Just nice we went to Causeway for lunch, and along the bus ride, I caught several HAHA. I remembered catching half of the Pokemon ON the bus sitting down, apparently I don't even have to walk lol.

MOVING ON.

Forgotten stories is the short topic for today.

Since I've always been reading manga during my free time, some noted down in this blog while some just for the sake of killing time, so it's not stated. 

Came across a manga and was half-way through the first chapter before realising I've read it before WHUT. THEN IT CAME TO ME THAT I have no re-collection of it till a scene that made me go 'This feels familiar?' and continued for a few pages before it actually hit me that I've completed it!

How can I forget finishing a series?! It's 22 books some more. For the record, the manga was 'Oldman'. And then I wondered if I've written down on this blog before because I have no memory of writing it down! 

Like whaaaaaaaaaaaaat so my memory storage space has dwindled to a mere 6 months before the time now and if nothing reminds me, I would never know it existed. Fortunately, I only need half the chapter to recall.

BOOM LIFE that's why people keep a dairy. For fear one day, we would forget what crossed our path regardless of how significant it is. Never underestimate the things your brain will sweep out deemed 'Forgettable'.

Ayeshah's Secret

My oh my manga, it's been long!
Ayeshah's Secret is another dark content, beware before proceeding. It gets a little confusing in the middle but it'll explained clearly soon. Love the ending!

The characters resembles walking art pieces that lead me to the author's (Zhang Jing) only 2 manga that he wrote (SHIT WHY DIDN'T HE WRITE MORE). From the name, I assumed he (or she) is Chinese? Though from the art style, it is pretty distinct that it's not a typical manhwa or manga. It gets me thinking, if a Japanese comic is called manga, Korean comic as Manhwa, what is a Chinese comic called? Hmm.

Nevertheless, Doctor Du Ming - 7.5/10. Another dark work by the same artist and author.

It's a clear 'obsession' plot, showing the depths of corrupted people. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

DANG DANG THE MAIN: Ayeshah's Secret - 8.5/10

Omo a typical 'Holding-a-knife-while-tryna-look-sexy' pose that WORK. HIS HAIR BAEBAEBAEBAE. Upholding the long-hair-guy fetish, though this ain't long enough (LOL), it's acceptable.

LOOK AT THE ART STYLE AND TELL ME HE'S NOT HOT? Here I thought I've gotten over 2D guys. APPARENTLY NOT. How did the he get such details on the hand? TEACH ME.

The main cast - with Sean and Nemo (Mostly Sean) as my bias. Side Note: WHY NEMO? I CAN'T take him seriously named after a famous fish movie.

Assignment week how exciting!

RE-UPDATING.
Watched the movie Me Before You, which is adapted from the book and it pains me a little that I didn't read it first. NEVERTHELESS THE FILM IS GREAT T-T If the film is great the book will be awesome T-T 8.8/10. A simple and elegant film with great actors/actresses.

Highlight to read the spoilers and rants:

WHY OH WHY DO THEY always die in these types of films? I know it's for a greater cause (AND I KNOW IT WAS SORT OF COMING) but I hate it. I hate it when the lead is selfless and that he could have been with the girl if he have been more selfish. I hate it when they don't end up together when they obviously have a chance too. And I hate when it ends with one person's happy ending. WHICH IS NOT ALL THAT HAPPY FOR THE VIEWERS. Tell me Titanic, Transcendence and maybe Spirited Away, why do you invent separations between the male and female leads? WHY?

Though in all honesty, it's understandable that he has to do this T-T 

No. Next time, someone please warn me that they won't be together so I don't have to watch it. Especially films with leads dying so I don't have to waste my time and tears.

Twitter drama opinions

2 more week before the last paper and I'M FREEEEE. But before that freedom, I would like to receive an internship offer that I have yet to receive. WHAT IF I'm deprived of the work experience benefit of a polytechnic life? IMAGINE the life of staying in school 5-days a week from 9am-5pm with no supervision, and we're not allowed to leave till then. Worst of all, while the others are out earning money, you'll be stuck in a payless dead routine of programming and dead air. I'M SCARED ;-;

I thought I had a pretty good chance when I placed the slots but heyho, nothing! A few of us consulted a teacher in charge and he said we really don't have to worry cause they'll try to push everyone out, and it's not like they want to see our face in school. Thanks for boosting my hopes cher.

Either way, hopefully, praying to the internship god if it does exist, that I could get a spot!

First of all, I'm on team Kim's side and I'm (or was) a Taylor Swift's avid fan. 

I've followed Taylor since her second hit song - Love Story - and yes it was no denying that her image is a sweetheart, writing songs that girls outside the spotlight would love, including me.

Over the years (before this incident), as an avid follower, news of her relationships from lovers to friendship grow and her title of country sweetheart turn to queen-pop of the current century. And not long after, I realised she is no longer the person I look up to. 

She is undeniably nice and friendly, but she's no longer good or innocent, which is something that hardcore fans have to understand. In that industry filled with media and fame, no one is ever truly guiltless or sinless. But I'm okay with it. It just turned an avid fan to a fan. I still listen to her songs, had her poster hung up, and even bought cornetto ice cream hue.

I thought it was okay, celebrities are always doing their thing.

The posting of Joe Jonas voice mail: She's dumped through text how awful, it's okay.

The dissed to Harry: From the response, he seem to be expecting it so, it's okay.

Katy Perry incident: She sound right, so it's fine.
Nicki Minaj incident: Not being active online is alright

Calvin Harris incident: Technically she didn't say anything, so it's fine.

Then I realised, if she is truly as sinless as what swifties claim to be, she shouldn't be involved in such a great deal of media drama in the first place. 

Time and time again, news of her involving another artist pops out, and even though it's not fully her fault, it's always her on the right section, never the wrong. And it's not just artist that are involved - legal companies to instructor, she is always has a reason.

What the media always claim her to be, is an idol who never did any wrong, which you can argue she really is in the right always, sticking up for what she believes in. And that, people, is the cause that created the situation now - Believing that she's always right.

I've watched Kim's video, T.S response and her fan's reasoning (and of course the many hilarious memes on twit lol). No matter how I see it, you have to admit she is not the victim this time. In Kim's perspective, T.S publicly humiliated her husband when he already had her permission for the lyrics. It's two-faced.

If the argument is 'she didn't approve of "that bitch" in the lyrics!'. As an artist herself, she should know lyrics are always changing to the person who wrote it. She even made statements 'go with whatever line you think is better', gave her blessings and seemed real chill about it in the video.

Onlookers would agree that they are at least friends, and he is entitled to make any changes as a composer. How does 'that bitch' meant disrespecting her when he read the line 'Taylor and I had sex' and she's fine with it? It's like saying 'people who use cigarettes' and smokers are different, and you're insulted if someone calls you a smoker? Since you did not approve of it.

Secondly, 'T.S has never call out anyone directly!' Reflect on that statement on the picture above with an unbiased and open mind please. Technically, the famous lyrics can be for another Taylor since Dear John may not be for John Mayor. See what I did there.

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, for people defending her still, you have to know that the argument or what the hashtag is craze about, is NOT about the mere lyrics, it is the way she framed her response to it. Victimised. 

Long story cut short, one should learn when to back down, and when to fight back. Being a celebrity is tough, the past will always catch up to you regardless whether it's right or wrong.

On the previous post I mentioned to just ignore haters, but this is more towards disappointment as a fan, and that die-hard fans are defending her still where reasons are no longer rational. Accept the loss and go strong with the support instead.

On a side note, the poster will still be on my wall heyhey.

Random thought of the day!

Hate comments. I can never understand the people behind those screen.

You're supporting the people in the video by watching it and taking away precious seconds or minutes in your life by thinking of how to burn them, as if 99 percent of the audience care when they are there in the first place to watch the video and not you.

The correct way (LEARN THIS PEOPLE) to dislike something or someone is simply to ignore it. You'll find your life much more peaceful without the need to constantly find flaws in people that is not worth your time. The fact that you leave hate comments meant that that are they something to you, which is equivalent to supporting their presence.

It is like buying apples, then burning it and make known to the world that apple sucks, but you're supporting them by increasing their sales and MAKING it known. Ironic isn't it?

There's little you can do to change their life - besides making them miserable for mere seconds - which is stupid since you're only worth that few seconds.

If you want to be a hater, be a smart one at least. Ignore it. #ForYourOwnGoodToo

Timekeeper

Finally read 'The Timekeeper' by Mitch Albom. I've put it off since Secondary 4, which is 3 years ago! A good book, but it cannot beat the first one I read from him - Tuesdays with Morrie. It brought sparks in my puberty days and I remembered being so infatuated with the quotes that I have pages full of it in my school dairy! Ahh memories~


But the book that remained at the top of my list is 'The five people you meet in heaven'. It was the one that changed my perspective on people and made me focus more on those that care than those that don't. I MISS THOSE SIMPLE TIMES.

Finding Dory

Watched Finding Dory and it's a nice 7.5/10. BABY DORY IS KAWAII~

After the movie with the 3 kids and cousin, and lunch, they came to our house and guess what they diddddddd.
IPad. The whole day.

All these technology and gadgets goshh.

Anywho we watched the Black Mass on T.V (Technology at work again!) and it's a good film. 8/10 based on a true story.
Had Swensen's for dinner and home again~

Perth - Day 1

Day 1 

 The sunflower garden at T2 (I THINK) which was right next to the game console area.

 The food on the plane. Our flight was 0005 so I had this meal in half-sleep condition. Arrived in Perth, ate burgers at the airport, received our car keys and off to adventure!

Getting used to the GPS and arrived at the wrong destination for Cottesleo Beach, but the view is marvellous nevertheless!

The coastal place with our rented car~

Drove and arrived at Cottesleo Beach afterwards. It is a secluded spot with barely anyone around, with a magnificent sea view! Other than that I don't see what else is special about this beach~ 

We head for the Frementle market next. Had hotdogs while walking around the market - which resembles Bugis street without all the people. It was around 9am when we arrive here. I forgot to take a picture of the place noo.

Frementle Prison was next. Unfortunately we didn't stay as we were too early. Most tours have designated timings (later) and we figured roaming around is more fitting for our schedule.

We travelled to the coastal area of Rocking-hams. The wind was so strong that sand build up on a bench area further away from the beach!

We found out there was a visitor centre nearby, made a visit and got more information on what to do for the next few days. Though we already have most planned, we still took a lot of brochures - which we ended up not using. 

There is plants under the transparent glass we're standing on, and I thought it would be great for a picture! But the flowers can't be seen T-T At least the star formation came out well.

Had Fish' n Chips for lunch, and my god the portion is huge when we only ordered two sets. We head for our apartment after filling our stomach, and slacked there till 2pm+ before exploring a nearby shopping mall. We were staying in the CBD area, so there is quite a number of malls.

Our first shopping~ We bought necessities - milk, bread, ham and more food than stuff we actually used. By the time we finish grocery shopping, most shops has already closed - roughly 6pm - which is considered early but in Perth, it's their norm. 

It was a chillax first day.
