Chingay Parade! [9February2014]

Well this is a late post on the event.. but it is worth writing down! I had forgotten much about the event but I'll try to write down as much details as possible on that day. We got the tickets from my grandma who got it for free by sponsers.(LUCKYY, if not we would be paying $50 per ticket, expensive man!)

THE START

We went together with my aunt's family! Had brunch at suntec city before proceeding to the stadium. There was a Festival held along the way there WHICH  was a small carnival with games and rides mimicking an amusement park (It has a TINY viking ship for children!! Adorable.)  We took a tour around the festival under the scorching sun(the weather is HOTT), before making our way there.

^The red architecture is the small carnival! (which is held on top of the floating platform!! ) It seem small in the photo as the picture was taken from a distance, but it was HUGE!

The Singapura City

Alrighttt, those were the pictures I took along the way to the venue for the Chingay Parade. We had to walk quite a distance to actually arrived there, so, fortunately, the scenery is AWESOMEE, making the journey 'not so tiring'.

THE PARADE

After a while being seated, the pre-parade start. We were seated at the blue seats, at the side of the long stadium while the red seats are the one in the middle. The unfairness level was high as the red's performance was way more entertaining when the parade reaches the middle. BUTT, the parade was coming in from our side. So ya, we get to see the parade FIRST, before they make their way down HURHURR. Beat that rich people in the middle LOL. Now. Pictures.

AYEE the stadium is looooooong. [Pre-parade]

The year of the Horse [Parade]

That particular float has fireworks on it 000ooooOOoo.

ANDDDD NOWWW.
Me favourite part of every parade & a 'must have' in a festival - Fireworks.

PRETTY AYEE??!!! There were dancers, young to old, and some even from other countries like the Philippines! There were flag-throwing, Ge Tai and many many uniquely decorated floats! I was too awed to even take pictures haizzzzz.. My cousins said it was boring, but to mehhh, it was so very entertaining despite the humid weather.

OHHH! Forgot to mention that the president WAS THEREE TOO!! He rode on a float and gave a short speech during the beginning and ending of the parade. He made the speech in the middle section, so DANG IT! Too far away to even take a proper glimpse of him.......... But that doesn't make a difference hahah, it was a good day.

TODAYYYY  [7March2014]        Nothing uncommon here ._.

WELLLLL, hope you had a great day as well. Cheers~

4March2014 Story

ITS ME FIRST ENTRY IN 2014! Well I'm going to squeeze in as much details of my current life in this post. Bear with me and my rantings.

ENROLLMENT

I GOT INTO THE POLY COURSE OF MY CHOICE! Well not really of my choice as I've no interest in anything in the first place, but it was the first choice in my list NP. I got the enrolment package yesterday and I was the last of my friends to received it (why oh why), it made me panic as I thought it won't be coming hurhur. NEVERTHELESS! It was thinner than I expected it to be and there were SO MANY stuff I couldn't understand. It seem like my brain has rotted through the holidays LOL.

AYEE behold the package!
(PS. I used my friend's picture, hope she won't find out HURHUR)

PART-TIME WORK

During the holidays, I worked at the kindergarten near my secondary school! We have been helping them out since Sec3 (I think). I worked there from the beginning of January to 28 February! The teachers were kind and so, but truthfully, it seem like I can't treat them as 'friends' knowing that they are the teacher of a class (Or because they are older? Or because they have more leadership quality? ANYWAY, I hope you understand what I'm talking about..) My friends who are working there with me seem to have no problemo communicating with them as their peers! And when I'm alone with a teacher or so, I'll feel awkward. And I think it's just me! It seems like I need to train talking with people who are superior of me LOL. But it was fun throughout my stay there, I met awesome teachers and kids. Hope they(the kids) will remember me when I returned to visit~

A parting gift teacher Sri and teacher Adelin bought for me (SO KIND OF THEM T-T)

FRIENDS/OUTINGS

I think it was around the chinese new year period that we went to a friends house to eat steamboat! It was pretty simple, we watch movie, ate and went home! Majority of the friends in this clique is going to a different school then me(SADD), some went to SP while some others went to RP, NYP & HigherNitec. Hope we would still contact during the first year of poly.

And there was the other time that we went to Swensens to celebrate Dom's Birthday! After the dinner we planned to go bowling BUTTT! it seems like the bowling alley we went to was having a tournament. SO there was no lane for us(SHIT MAN! After we went all the way there!) FORTUNATELY, there was a shopping mall around the area so we went and watch 'THE LEGO MOVIE'. I thought it would be a boring movie but I'm glad it was better than I expected!(funny, so not bad~)

ANDD the most recent one is the outing with SF, CW, Val, YZ, K to sushi tei in town. We ate and talked and went home. Simple and peaceful outing [This one I prefer LOL]

AYEEE the food we ate at the restaurant. [Picture credits to my friend yz]

AYEE we tried making a star with our feet. [Guess who took the photo? NOT ME :D]

COMING UP

ME ENTIRE FAMILY IS GOING TO MALACCA, MALAYSIA! Its around the end of March, so hopefully, I could update about the trip here in the near future HOHO.

INTEREST

I'm back to vocaloids and manga again WEEEPP. Guess that's pretty much all I did during the 4 months holiday they gave me. SO! I shall show you who I'm into at the moment! PICTURE TIME :D

GAKUPO KAMUI (vocaloid)

VY2 YUMA (vocaloid)

UKYO (Anime-Amnesia)

That's all folks! Hope you guys have a more interesting lifestyle than me. (I think I have a lifeless life LOL) But I like simple and boring compared to ADVENTURE and THRILL. NOTE! I was reading back my old post and saw a post about me wanting a 'Out of life' life LOL. Well, people change(EXCUSES LOL), guess for now, I prefer to observed things rather than things observed me (If y0u know what I mean KUU)

6 September & 7 September 2013 Story

Alrighttttt so there nothing much that happend today. We went to Korean BBQ buffet for brunch in JunctionTen! Third time and truthfully, I was no longer anticipating it like usual. We went home after J.Co doughnuts with my cousins and aunts, and now, I'm writing this. Yesterday was much more entertaining so from now on, forgive me for killing you with words.

6 September

Out to meet my friends at 9.15am to play badminton woooo! Fortunately, they were a little late so there was time to buy a quick snack at BPP for my starving stomach. Took the bus to lot1 and exchange to another bus to the CCK stadium. And shockingly(!), it was the place where I learnt how to swim when I was young. I totally forgot about it and the smell of the pool brings back memories, of how the instructor forced me to dive underwater. Terrible.

Played badminton with them till 12.30+ and it RAIN! Initially we were supposed to go back and bath before proceeding to a friend's condo to play bowling! Due to the weather condition, our schedule was postponed for a while and we were HUNGRY! Sooo a few of us went to a restaurant (We were supposed to go to a convenience store for cup noodles, but we can't go across without getting drenched by the rain, so our location for food was changed) and we waited really reallyyyy long for the food to be cooked and packeted away(Though the service there was really friendly). We returned back to the sports hall and gobbled down our food. Not sure whether I was really very hungry, making the food taste somehow extremely delicious, or it was cooked that way haha.

CONTINUING..... Luckily the rain stopped after we had our lunch and we went home as plan, to wash up. AND my cousins were at my house playing mahjong! How could they NOT tell me on such occasion?! I, abruptly,  joined them (taking my brother position) and played for two rounds before meeting my friends(again) to proceed to a friend's condo for BOWLING! A bowling alley IN a condo, it's really cool!(Well, personally for me, since it's the first time seeing a bowling alley inside a condo)

There's 2 lane and at the back there was a pool table, which some of them went along and play it, leaving the rest to bowling. I sucked(BADLY) at first but miraculously(?), I managed to hit pretty well at the last few rounds during individual throw. Okay it was not that well, pretty average to be honest.

EVENING CAME.... We went for our dinner at a nearby coffee shop and went to a void deck under the blocks and chat and played simple games. Well, before that we slacked on a playground BUT it rained again lol. Nothing out of the ordinary and nothing special to be written down so that's pretty much it. My father fetch some of us home and that's the end of the day.

I shall sign off. Byebye []._.[]

5 September 2013

TIME PASSES SO FAST!
Really, half the year or more has past and I can't believe I'm one of the oldest batch in my school! Nevertheless, reading back helps brings back memories, both unwanted and wanted ones. It's definitely a dairy of my past worth writing down - with all the emotional and random rants pft. Soooooooo here's what happened todayy!

TEACHER'S DAY!
Initially, we were supposed to play some games in the morning but unfortunately,it was raining.. So it was cancelled, we continued with the cheer competition in the Indoor Sports hall. In my opinion, I think our class have THE BEST CHEER! Though some classes actually did way better than us, but hey, we had a small class(27) and naturally, our cheer would be much softer than classes from the lower batch, who had 40 over student.
So truthfully, it wasn't very fair of a competition. And I knew we won't get to one of the top three but I was hoping for a miracle haix. The teachers gave scores and our biology teacher gave us a full marks, real kind of her! AND our co-form gave us only 7/10! (It was the lowest among the judges) Disappointing. She could have given us a better score and afterall, she is OUR class form teacher. Then again, I guess I shouldn't expect too much from her after being her student for half a year and her personality pretty much describe what score she is going to give us anyway.

MOVING ON!
We went to the hall for stage performances and it was a routine every year for teacher's day, thus, there is not much to rant on. Except that my DnT teacher went up on stage and sang for the whole school. How brave of him! And after the whole performance thing, the entire of our batch stood up and thanked the teachers (as a surprise! But it seems like several teachers had already knew of our secret plan)  But it was a great memory. Gave a box of biscuits to Mr Tan, and in the evening, he send a long message to thank me. Sucha nice teacher ;-; For my five years in school, I'll proudly say that he is the most dedicated(?) teacher I had meet. Though people always have the concept of him being a 'teacher who only care for good student', he is a really great form teacher.

AFTER SCHOOL!
We went to Macs to have our brunch and met the guy classmates there! Had a chat(still awkward) and went home after the meal. My cousins were playing WII, and off to joined them. For dinner, BPP with baby Mathieu there, why is he sho cute.

Well, I guess that's pretty a summary for today. When I look back to this post in the future, I hope my memories will be still fresh.
